Colonel By Classic is the newest chapter of the rivalry, finally bringing Canada’s national sport into the mix. The uOttawa and Carleton hockey teams face off around four times during the hockey season, but one of these great games will take place off campus.

Capital Hoops Classic

Date: February 7, 2019

Thirteen years this event has been happening and it’s still going. Capital Hoops is when each school’s basketball teams, both women and men, play off campus against each other. It’s the biggest event of the basketball season for both teams and like every other game of this rivalry, the atmosphere is unlike any other.

One thing is for sure. You will want to be at all of these games. So pick up your garnet and grey, and get ready, Gee-Gees. This rivalry may be old, but it’s also just starting.
