Getting to Campus

From Central Bus Station

Address: 265 Catherine Street West

By taxi

Cost: approximately $15 (Central bus station to the University campus)

Where: Taxis are usually parked just outside of the bus terminal.

By bus

Cost: $3.65 cash (you need exact change)

Where: CHAMBERLAIN/KENT bus stop

As there are many different possible routes, we strongly suggest checking the OC Transpo website for bus schedule information and to discover all the bus routes that may lead you to campus. Here is one possible route: 

  1. Exiting the bus station, turn left and walk along CATHERINE STREET (against the flow of traffic) to KENT ST (the next street perpendicular). Turn right onto KENT, and walk south along KENT under the highway to CHAMBERLAIN AVE. Take CHAMBERLAIN AVE and walk to the bus stop at CHAMBERLAIN and KENT; it is on the left after the next street (walk time is about 3 minutes).
  2. Take Bus 101 (St. Laurent direction): ask the bus driver for a transfer ticket and get off at LEES 4A station.
  3. Walk to LEES 4C station to transfer buses.  
  4. Take Bus 85 (Bayshore direction) and get off at King Edward/Templeton station.

Time: approximately a 20-minute bus ride

Montreal to Ottawa

Please note that there are some bus departures directly from the Montreal Airport (Pierre-Elliot Trudeau). Furthermore, there are buses from the airport and the main station that will bring you directly on campus (Laurier Ave.). You can consult the schedule on the Greyhound website.

From the Ottawa Train Station (VIA Rail)

By taxi

Cost: approximately $15 (Train station to the University campus)

Where: Taxis are usually parked just outside of the train terminal.

 

By bus

Cost: $3.65 cash (you need exact change)

Where: When you exit the main entrance, you must cross the street and go through a pedestrian tunnel that leads to the bus stops. Wait for the bus at TRAIN 2A station.

  • Take Bus 96 (Kanata Terry Fox direction) and get off at Laurier station.

Time: approximately a 10-minute ride

From the Ottawa International Airport

By taxi

Cost: approximately $40 (from the airport to the University campus)

Where: Taxis are usually parked just outside the airport in the arrivals area.

 

By bus

Cost: $3.65 cash (you need exact change)

Where: The bus stop is just outside the arrivals area to your right when you exit the main doors.

Directions: Take Bus 97 (Bayshore direction) and get off at Laurier station.

**There are also “Airport Limousine Buses” that travel to the downtown core several times an hour and stop at the main hotels downtown. The Novotel Hotel is the one closest to the University. The cost for the limousine bus is approximately $10.
